What is a box number/smartcard number and what is it for?

Every new unit sold should have a unique box number or smart card number. Its the identification number of your box. It is used to activate and to reload your unit.

Box number - usually starts with 77405370 & 774053710

Smartcard number - usually starts with 01872

You have a problem with your box, what do you have to do?

To obtain warranty service, you must first contact your dealer to determine the problem and the most appropriate solution to your problem.

How/where do i activate my box?

Receiver boxes need to be activated through satellite signal to start the legal subscription and to get the 1 month free load. Your subscription starts the same day of activation. Only the dealer have the authorized to send an activation request to GSAT Office.

Contact your dealer/Installer for the initial activation.

What are the requirements for the initial activation?

Can I retrieve the load I accidentally top up to a wrong box number?

No. Once load has been sent and received the transaction is final.

Can I load GPINOY load to my GSAT HD box?

No, because the standard prepaid load of GSAT HD is 200, 300 and 500.

Can I load GSAT 200,300 and 500 to my GPINOY box?

No, because the standard prepaid load of GPINOY box is only 99 pesos. Any GSAT prepaid cards exceeding 99 pesos will not be registered.

*Advance load and multiple subscriptions are allowed. The next load will automatically start upon consumption of the the first load.
*Load cards are non-transferable and non-refundable

What do I do if my unit is lost or stolen?

Call your dealer / agent immediately to DE-activate your lost or stolen unit. This will help prevent someone from using it. In the event that you cant find your unit, you can purchase a new unit to your dealer.

I will be transferring to my new Home location, will the signal be still okay?

Yes, as long as the connection of your unit is okay and the dish signal is at its peak. Charges will be shouldered by the subscriber upon request for re-installation.

What if I want to install the unit myself, will that be fine?

Yes you may, installation guidelines will be also available upon purchasing the unit, but its not advisable.

No Signal when it rains?

Due to the nature of the technology, all satellite dishes are affected by the weather and the signal does drop out when it rains. Signal will restore once the weather eases. If your signal is dropping out, when it's not raining or during only light showers, then your dish may need re-aligning.

Does GSAT/GPINOY have pick and pay channels?

GSAT & GPINOY channels are fixed.

Can i transfer my smart card into any other decoder?

No, the smart card is paired to your set top box. Do not transfer it to others, or do not insert it into any other decoder.

How to insert the smart card?

Put the smart card into your decoder in arrow direction with the chip face down.

• Press the “ INFO“ button, check if the date displays the date of your subscription and its expiry date.

• If not, Delete the all existing frequencies

• Make sure all cables are connected securely on the back of the TV and receiver. If any other equipment is connected between the TV and receiver, ensure these connections are secure as well.

• Lnb freq : Universal 9750 / 10600 or Standards 11300 (Try to change your LNB type), check if there is a changes in signal intensity and quality)
• If both LNB Universal and standard still no signal, please contact your dealer for further assistance.
• If you have reach the maximum or an average level of signal please proceed to the next step.
• Check all the transponder : You must have the following transponder with the corresponding symbol rate.
• 12711 - 45000
• 12401 - 45000
• 12461 - 45000
• Signal Intensity - must be in maximum or in average level at least
• Signal Quality - must be in maximum or in average level at least
• Scan the transponder 12711, all tp will scan automatically then EXIT
• Check if the issue still persists.
